It has been a longtime coming. Word is that The Joe Frazier story will be coming to a Hollywood screen near you in the hopefully not-to-distant future.
Prince Marketing Group, headed up by Darren Prince, has repped Frazier since 1994, and will continue to do so after his passing.
PMG will exclusively represent the Smokin’ Joe Frazier name and likeness for licensing and endorsement deals as well as life story rights for a motion picture and all business related projects. Prince says that a major-league director is moving forward with the Frazier film project. Stay tuned...

HBO REMEMBERS LEGENDARY HEAVYWEIGHT JOE FRAZIER HBO will pay tribute to the legacy of heavyweight great Joe Frazier, who passed away Nov. 7, with a special encore play of THRILLA IN MANILA, the compelling 2009 documentary chronicling the competition between Muhammad Ali and Joe Frazier, widely considered the greatest rivalry in boxing history. The 90-minute film will be seen THURSDAY, NOV. 10 (6:30-8:00 p.m. ET/PT). Other HBO playdate: Sunday, Nov. 13 (5:30 p.m.) HBO Signature playdate: Friday, Nov. 11 (4:30 p.m.) THRILLA IN MANILA tells the story of the final Ali-Frazier fight in the searing heat of the Philippines through the eyes of Frazier – the “other man” in the ring. Muhammad Ali Enterprises, through Prince Marketing Group, has purchased the name, image, and likeness rights from Joe Frazier for 25 photographs that depict Ali and Frazier's legendary rivalry. The International Boxing Research Organization (IBRO) rates Frazier among the ten greatest heavyweights of all time.He is an inductee of both the International Boxing Hall of Fame and the World Boxing Hall of Fame. "Lights Out" stars Holt McCallany (CSI: Miami) as an aging former heavyweight boxing champion who struggles to find his identity and support his wife and three daughters after retiring from the ring.
