THE TRANSFORMATION
Resource Desert
Even though we do not own Joe Frazier's Gym, we truly believe that the community it served is our home. We are committed to creating support, opportunities, and resources for North Philadelphia residents in any way we can.
North Philadelphia is widely recognized as a high-poverty area facing significant disparities in access to food, healthcare, education, and other essential services. Research shows elevated rates of food insecurity and concentrated poverty, both of which are strongly linked to broader gaps in opportunity and resources (Source). By focusing our efforts here, we aim to honor the legacy of Joe Frazier's Gym while addressing the systemic challenges that affect the families and youth of this neighborhood. Source
